Model Casting

We began the process of model casting on Friday for the 2017/18 Banner photoshoot. The photoshoot is a huge part of the BMB re-brand which I've been working on since last summer with the launch date of October 2017. The two main photoshoots are being carried out at The Fuse in Partington and Manchester Central Library throughout July. 

There is a huge amount of planning and organising that is going into the re-brand and the photoshoots but one of my favourite parts is always the model selection. We saw 50+ models on Friday from several different agencies with the hope of finding 6 senior models and 4 junior models. The final decisions on the models will be made tomorrow so we can go ahead and order all the bespoke uniform and sportswear ready for July. The next few months are going to be extremely busy for the whole of the team, but we are ready and raring to go! :-D

Last year I was approached by Mike Fisher from Gravity and asked to get involved in an exciting new project. The project consisted of a complete re-brand, marketing strategy and website for the business.

Gravity is a patent pending biomechanical device that stimulates the body’s own natural healing processes. It helps with Recovery & regeneration, Injury prevention, Stress relief, Effective rest, Awareness and Fascia. The current website for gravity is gravitylife.co.uk

Over the past few months, myself and Liam Riddell have been working together on the re-brand and website for gravity. The website is due to go live next month and is starting to really take shape. There is still a fair bit of work to do for the re-launch of the brand as we are changing the marketing strategy with the hope of increasing the awareness of the product and in turn create more sales. In the run up to the re-launch, I will be posting more updates on this exciting project.

I have recently completed an exciting project for Barry Watkins, this has included a complete re-brand and website. Barry is an old family friend of mine who is embarking on a journey to reignite his professional squash career. Barry's renewed love for squash was ignited when he met up with his old friend Jahangir Kahn in December 2016. Now his goal, is competing in and hopefully winning the 2018 World Masters Over 55's Open in Virginia, USA.

With the new Teamwear website going live this week and the brochure ready to drop on 13th June, here is a sneak preview behind the scenes from the day of the adidas photoshoot. It was very exciting to be the first group allowed to execute a complete photoshoot inside adidas' European headquarters.

After speaking with Laura Stonehouse, Key Account Manager for Teamwear at adidas, it’s clear to see that she shares SWI’s enthusiasm for their new partnership.


“When planning for the Teamwear photoshoot we knew that adidas HQ would be able to provide the ideal setting and creative space that SWI were looking for and were honoured to be able to invite the entire creative team over to HQ for the day.
This was the first time we’d opened the space up for a shoot like this, but we knew HQ would be in safe hands with SWI and the creative team were an absolute dream to work with. The inspirational content we got out of the day was exciting from start to finish and I cannot wait to share the results with the wider business.
The foundations between adidas and SWI have been strongly rooted over the last 6 years. Being able to work alongside the SWI team has been an enormous privilege and a fantastic learning experience. Seeing the expertise, dedication and level of service SWI provide, we were delighted to become the sole Teamwear brand in the partnership moving forward. adidas are really excited to be a big part of SWI’s future and can’t wait to see what comes next.”
